GLS acquires Dicom

On August 30, 2018 Wind Point Partners announced the sale of Dicom Transportation Group – Canada Inc. to General Logistics Systems B.V.

It is with great pleasure that we formally announce this very exciting news to our clients. General Logistics Systems (GLS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Mail Group, a publicly listed company trading on the London stock exchange.

GLS was founded in 1999 and today offers service to 41 countries around the globe as well as 8 US states. GLS operates from more than 1000 terminals and is supported by 30,000 delivery vehicles. Dicom operates 28 terminals in Ontario and Quebec and offers freight, courier and logistical services across Canada and into the USA.

Canada is the 10th largest economy in the world and through the acquisition of Dicom, GLS will gain access to the leading provider of regional overnight transportation and distribution services in Canada. Upon integration, Dicom will gain access to the entire GLS network and be able to offer industry leading parcel services internationally.
