Update to Parcel Surcharges and Accessorial Fees
Outside the GLS Direct Network
Effective July 19, 2021
In an effort to better align the manner in which we provide national service, GLS Canada is updating the process used to apply surcharges and accessorial fees. Effective July 19th, Parcel shipments tendered to GLS that will be picked up and/or delivered using an interline partner, agent or otherwise to/from a non-direct service point, may be subject to additional fees.
This change is necessary in order to provide greater transparency and accuracy in relation to the costs of servicing certain regions and shipment types. The featured updates below will help GLS adjust the specific increased costs associated with handling unique shipment types in our non-direct network. For complete details, please visit the GLS Tariff 100 – Rules & Regulations
